This week The Lumberyard presents student poets and writers
from the Bristol Public School system in Bristol, CT. Student writers from two
middle schools, Northeast and Chippens Hill, and two high schools, Bristol
Central and Bristol Eastern, were recorded at the studios of WHUS in the spring
of 2007. Special thanks to John Ryan, Gale Dickau, the Bristol Board of
Education, and the Bristol Gifted Program for making this week's episode

Founded and directed by poet Marilyn Nelson, Soul Mountain encourages and supports emerging and established poets, especially those belonging to traditionally underrepresented racial or cultural groups, by offering brief guest residences.
